WHY I LOVE IT
Margot Trouvé has been acting since she was 4 years old, when her mother signed her up for Theatre Lab's acting camp one summer and she fell head over heels. Every summer leading up to college, you could find Margot training in her craft at local theater camps and workshops. She continued pursuing her love of performance at the University of Maryland, where she is graduating this Spring with a BA in Theatre. In her practice, Margot is specifically drawn to devised, movement-based work. In her process, she draws on the teachings of Jaques Lecoq, Anne Bogart, Augusto Boal, and F.M. Alexander and she is particularly interested in creating theater for social justice.
Some of Margot's favorite roles have been Veronica in God of Carnage, Lydia in Pride and Prejudice at Annapolis Shakespeare Company, Sonia in Vanya, Sonia, Masha, and Spike, and Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense.
